One Poem by Porsche Jones

Ladybug

i was looking for someone stronger than me

to stand between me and the eraser

to hear the flapping of my ladybug wings

the morse code, the dot dot dash, the round spots on red

do you hear it? do you see me? and do you want my music played on this or other leaves, in this or other flowers

maybe now that you’ve seen me crawling out of bed in the morning, calling out for the green aphid,

such a thing could be mistaken,

or crushed to pieces with a shriek or with no words at all.
